There are some positive signs that the Lake Martin residential market is on the road to recovery. The Alabama Center for Real Estate, a program at UAB, reports regularly on all real estate in Alabama. As I have said before, it makes for some very interesting reading!
At Lake Martin, the November 2015 sales have increased 6.7% when compared to November of 2014. The median selling price for waterfront homes has increased 70.8% over the same period in 2014. Prices are increasing, yes, but at a reasonable rate. The average sales price for waterfront homes comparing November of 2014 to November of 2015 shows an increase of 30.9%.
